Destroy Them All

3,500 years ago, in a seaport on what is now northern Italy, a young woman named Nahla has a vision that raiders arrive to destroy them all. She begs the people to flee. She is beaten by her mother and thrown out of the town by her father because they believe she is possessed. As Nahla waits in the forest to die, a young man known as Yoteff the Lucky is hurrying down the mountain to the safety of the town as the sun sets. Yoteff leaves his deer for the wolves and drags Nahla towards town. They discover that boatloads of raiders have arrived to rape, pillage, and murder.

Yoteff saves 17 people and leads them into the mountains where they must survive the soon-coming winter without food and shelter. The survivors deal with hopelessness, survivor's guilt, and heart-wrenching grief after enduring such horrendous loss and overwhelming tragedy. Meanwhile, the leader of the raiders swears revenge and returns to hunt down the survivors.
